Taxi Montreal has hired Antoine Bécotte as executive creative director after a couple of months working with the agency in a freelance capacity after two previous CDs departed the agency earlier this fall.
According to a release, Bécotte will take the lead in shaping the agency's creative direction, overseeing campaign development, and ensuring it continues to deliver "world-class solutions" to clients. In a release, Bécotte said what struck him the most about the agency, is that everyone is there for the right reasons: “to create world-class work that will bring results for iconic brands and clients.”

He has over 20 years of advertising experience, having previously held senior roles at Lg2 and Cossette, before departing agency life in 2018 to launch The Ultimate-Fan Bottle, the first reusable bottle sold at world sports stadiums.
Throughout his career, Bécotte has won more than an International Cubes Award, a Cristal Award, and more than 15 Publicité Club de Montreal prizes. In 2006, he ranked on the Cannes Lions’ shortlist and was also shortlisted twice for Mentos Gum ‘’Make art pop’’ campaign in 2008. Then In 2011, he returned to Cannes as a member of the Direct Lion Jury.
