Toronto creative agency AndSo has expanded its design capabilities, while also naming Mike Mills as its new general manager.
Mills, who will join in a fractional capacity, was a founding partner of the creative and production studio Studio M, and is co-founder of hard spritzer brand Wilda.
“It was the right time to bring in this level of firepower,” said AndSo co-founder and strategy director Shawn Topp. “Mike uniquely understands the needs of a growing agency like ours as much as he does the business of production.”

“We found Mike because AndSo needed someone who is fluent in the business of persuasion,” added co-founder and creative director Jake Bogoch. “Now that I think of it, I’m pretty sure we just hired a guy to be our boss.”
Mills will lead business operations for AndSo and help grow the team following new business wins and organic growth with existing clients. The agency is working with Telus, RBC, NGen, Tremclad, and said it is “launching a string of brands for Marriott-affiliated and independent boutique hotels.”
“The founding partners have done an incredible job building a foundation and a reputation for consistently delivering quality work for their clients and partners across a range of disciplines,” said Mills.
Along with Mills, AndSo hired associate design director Lisa Omore (previously with Square) and senior designer Ken Tsujimoto (joining from WeAreSocial).
“Lisa and Ken bring the smarts, but they also inject life and energy into everything they touch,” says Bogoch. “They have a track record of creating wholly new visual brands out of thin air, breathing life into them online and IRL.”
