Koodo "Switch to Happy" by Camp Jefferson
A pair of 15-second video spots in which a customer, depicted in a mundane, colourless scene, metaphorically switches to Koodo by flipping a literal light switch (or a pull cord on a city bus), thereby infusing their world with the bright shades and imagery characteristic of Koodo's "Choose Happy" brand platform.
The first spot is set in a mundane apartment hallway in which a woman is seen leaning against the wall texting, and a man is mopping the floor. Through the window, you can even see that it’s raining outside. The narrator asks "What happens when you switch to a network that you can count on and afford?" as the protagonist switches to Koodo through a metaphorical flip of the hallway light switch, triggering everyone in the scene to come alive, adorn festive outfits, and dance to the accompanying music. The rain gives way to a bright fantasy land, and the mopper loses his mop for a microphone.
In the second spot, a customer pulls the cord on a city bus, transforming it into a pink-hued party bus, complete with disco ball and fuzzy seats. The windows depict a fantasy land outside, and the other passengers are seen wearing fun outfits, including a sparkly cowboy get up. "A whole lot of happy," says the narrator, answering his earlier question.
