Juliet names two new ACDs

Mariam Alqasim and Anita Singh will lead FreshCo, Canadian Cancer Society and the global Jagermeister assignment.

Juliet Creative has made two new creative appointments that founder and CEO Ryan Spelliscy says could ultimately result in "friendly world domination" for the pair.

The agency's newest associate creative directors, Mariam Alqasim and Anita Singh, have previously been leading business including Mielle, Jagermeister, and haircare brand Moroccanoil.

Their immediate focus in their new roles will be FreshCo, Canadian Cancer Society and the global Jagermeister assignment.

In her bio, Singh said that her career in advertising began with "sitting too close to the TV," and led to a decade-long career for brands including Signet Jewelers, Scotiabank and Constellation Brands.

Alqasim came to Canada from Bahrain to study at OCAD University a decade ago, and has spent seven years working with clients including Campari, Sobeys and Maple Leaf Foods.

In a release, Juliet said that the pair embody the agency's core values. "The work they do helps clients build brands people love because they have a constant hunger to really understand the audiences they are looking to connect with," said the release.

“Mariam and Anita are like a record on repeat," said Spelliscy. "Time and again, they do great work, and they do it all with grace and kindness.

"Making them ACDs at Juliet was a no-brainer, and I can’t wait to see what they do next."
