Grey Canada has added two clients and named Sebastián Benítez González its new executive creative director.

Benítez González (middle in top photo) spent the early part of his career in Colombia before joining Grey’s sister agency, Tank, two years ago as executive creative director, a role he’ll retain while adding Grey to his remit.

Mark Mason was hired as ECD for Grey in 2022, but joined Citizen Relations as its executive CD in February.

The new role for Benítez González comes after Grey also won new assignments with TVO and Diabetes Canada.

In a release announcing the changes, Benítez González said he hopes to push Grey’s work “further and forward.”

“We aim to create a creative product that generates intrinsic value for our client's brands by making them part of culture every day, and the talent and team at Grey Canada can do it," he said.

Grey also promoted Jordan Gabriel (left in photo), and Tomás Soares (right) to creative directors.

"We are thrilled and fortunate to have a world-class creative talent like Sebastián join our team,” said Nicole Lupke, EVP and GM of GREY Canada. “We can't wait to bring his globally recognized track record of creative excellence to our clients and teams in Canada."

Benítez González began his career as a copywriter and spent eight years as CD at Grey Colombia before moving north to Tank.
