Canada Protection Plan "Plate collection" by Fuse Create
A 60-second TV ad for life insurance featuring Kevin and Sarah, a couple who have one of the largest collections of souvenir plates, as well as a teenage son who is prone to breaking them.
The spot is the agency's first direct response TV ad. Kevin and Sarah are introduced by a narrator as a couple with one of the largest collections of souvenir plates, as well as a teenager (who is then shown throwing a frisbee and breaking one of the plates). The narrator explains that they got their plates insured, but don't have life insurance and face challenges– like Kevin worrying that he won't qualify because of his diabetes and Sarah being weary of medical exams. "So we got them some new plates to tell them about Canada Protection Plan," says the narrator, as the camera focusses on plates with phrases like "for healthy and hard-to-insure individuals," and "no doctor's visits, needles, or medical exams." "Contact your advisor or call now to get a no obligation quote in minutes," concludes the narrator, while the super reads the toll-free number.
