Independent Vancouver and Toronto-based agency, One Twenty Three West (123w), has won the Terra Footwear account, a work boot brand owned by Workwear Outfitters which previously conducted marketing efforts in-house.
The brand was founded in 1971 in Harbour Grace, Newfoundland. In the 2000s it was purchased by marketing company Kodiak Group Holdings Co. and won contracts to supply boots to the Canadian military.
Kodiak was purchased by VF corporation in 2017, and the brand became part of Workwear Outfitters in 2021, joining the stand-alone company’s specialty portfolio of workwear brands like Dickie, Kodiak, and Red Kap.
Now 123w will reposition Terra Footwear to grow the brand in the Canadian and US markets. “We’re thrilled to combine our team’s safety footwear expertise with the creative thinking of 123w to break through in this cluttered environment," said director of marketing and licensing at Workwear Outfitters, Katherine Tersigni, in a release.
“It’s always great when we get to work with brands that have an exceptional product,” added founder and CEO of 123w, Scott Keith. “It helps make the work we do together perform even better. It’s our job to get people’s interest and help Terra stand out, and knowing their products can deliver gets us very excited about the momentum we can create.”
